Thank you for your support of our statewide ballot initiative campaign Raise the Bar, Protect Our Constitution, which seeks to make it harder to amend Colorado’s Constitution at the ballot box.
The Colorado State Constitution is being amended far too easily and too often, creating a confusing and contradicting document that challenges the ability of the government to work effectively.
Raise the Bar-Protect Our Constitution is a bipartisan statewide coalition. Coming together with the aim to make the amendment process more difficult while still protecting Coloradan’s ability to amend when necessary.
By raising the amount of support needed to pass an amendment, as well as requiring support from all 35 senate districts, this amendment will ensure that statewide support is present to amend our foundational governing document.
Thanks in large part to your continued and thoughtful input to the Building a Better Colorado project, Colorado voters are now one step closer to being able to protect our state constitution from out-of-state special interests.
Recently we received approval from the Colorado Supreme Court to start collecting signatures, and we will be officially kicking off the campaign and signature gathering effort with a statewide tour next week and would be grateful to have your participation.
We hope you’ll be able to join us.
