Press Release
Young Producers on the Lookout for Knowledge
Pork Academy
Montrose, Colorado, June 18, 2016: The Colorado Pork Producers Council is currently working to put on two Pork Academies in different regions of Colorado. This event will be a day of fun and learning geared towards 4-Hers and FFA members in the swine project looking to learn more. This year an array of topics to be discussed have been selected such as nutrition, show ethics and the new veterinary feed directive going into effect as of January 2017. The selected speakers are professors, judges, and current producers that are excited to come and talk with and answer your questions. We are excited to announce that we have selected two dates and locations for 2016. The first will be held at the Montrose County Fairgrounds June 18 at 10:00 a.m., and the second will be held in Sterling at the Logan County Fairgrounds also beginning at 10:00 a.m. Lunch, t-shirts, and fun giveaways will be provided for both dates. If you have any questions or would like to R.S.V.P please contact the CPPC at tstrachan@copork.org.
