3 pork chops, roughly 1 ½ pounds of pork
4 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp ground thyme
¼ tsp salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/8 cup water
Salt and pepper
Butter and Oil
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a saucepan, add maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, thyme, salt and minced garlic.
Place saucepan on stove. Bring to boil, then lower heat and simmer for two minutes, stirring occasionally. Let glaze cool, then stir in 1/8 cup water and whisk into glaze.
Set glaze aside. Next, prepare the pork chops. Pat the chops dry, then season with salt and pepper. On medium heat in a large oven proof skillet, add one tablespoon butter and oil.
Once butter is melted, sear pork chops on each side for 2 minutes until brown.
Bake pork chops for about 10 to 15 minutes until done. Remove from oven and serve with maple glaze on top.
