Very Good Goulash

Cold days call for comforting casseroles. If you’re looking for a really good goulash recipe, this is it. We traded in the traditional one for a spicier version that is sure to warm you right up!

1 lb ground pork

1 yellow onion, diced small

1 tbsp dried Italian seasoning

1 tsp fennel seed, crushed

1 tsp red pepper flakes

4 large garlic cloves, diced fine

3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 cup dry macaroni, cooked

1 15 ounce can diced tomatoes

1 cup alfredo sauce

1 ½ tbsp chili oil

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

In a large skillet, sauté the ground pork and onion together. Add in Italian seasoning, fennel seed and red pepper flakes. Season with a dash of salt and pepper, then add in garlic. Sauté until pork is cooked and fragrant. Add in Worcestershire sauce, cooked macaroni, diced tomatoes, alfredo sauce and chili oil. Stir until well combined. Fold in one cup of cheese and sprinkle the other cup of cheese on top. Bake at 375 degrees until bubbly. Serve right away.
